Doug Austin

Doug Austin passed away yesterday, surrounded by his family.  He was one of the most influential voices for philanthropy in Port Huron, and served as a trustee of the Community Foundation from 1982 – 2011.  He will be greatly missed. 

Visitation is on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 and the funeral is at 11 am on Thursday at the Smith Family Funeral Home.

All gifts made in memory of Doug will be designated to the Maritime Fund and will be immediately grantable to support a project along the River Walk or Desmond Landing in honor of Doug Austin.
