Donor gives back to his community

Posted on January 26, 2017

Steve Jakob grew up in Memphis and graduated from Memphis High School in 1967.  He moved away the following year, after his father passed away. He studied chemistry at Oakland University and finance at Boston University.  He has two grown children and currently lives in Newton, Massachusetts with his wife of 33 years.

Steve still feels a connection to his hometown and continues to give back by supporting the Memphis High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, which helps students go to college.  This fund was established in 2005 and has since awarded nearly $6,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors of Memphis High School.

Steve is pictured with his mother (95 and still going strong).
