Grant totals exceed $800,000

Posted on June 6, 2013

The Community Foundation has continued its grant making through the second quarter with grant totals topping $800,000 through over 110 grants.

At their meeting last night, the grants committee approved another $24,000 in funding, including a $10,000 grant to Riverview East High School to support their project based learning program.  The program engages students, allowing them to learn through real life situations and their own interests.

The Port Huron Museum also received funding for the Storm of 1913.  The grants committee added $7,000 to the $2,000 previously granted by the Arts Committee to provide a total of $9,000 for the series of exhibits and activities to start in September.

Many additional organizations have been funded as well- View all Year To Date Grants
